Daysley is Using AI
I feel the need to address the decision I made to use AI with my Daysley Brand. I am not totally against AI, though I do treat it merely as a tool and use it with caution. You see, I had a dilemma when I decided to branch into girls’ dresses.
My issue with children on the internet
How would I showcase the dresses and who would be the models? Of course the obvious choice would be to have my own daughters model. I have four of them and they are the age groups I am catering to. But the problem was this - I don’t put pictures of my children on the internet. Do I think that immediate harm would come to them if I posted their faces online? No, I think that is very unlikely. I made the decision not to post my children’s faces on the internet because ultimately we don’t know the long term implications associated with it and in the abundance of caution, I chose to hold back. I couldn’t in good conscience then expect for another child to model the dresses and have their face online when I hold this principle myself. So, in order to solve my dilemma I decided to use AI.
This is not to create images that are deceptive or unrealistically portraying our products but to be used minimally to protect the privacy of my children or any other children featured in our marketing. Of course, I will add that I am just an average mom raising babies and don’t have all of the time and resources to create a beautiful studio backdrop or even go on location for shoots on a regular basis. If I’m going to be doing work aside from caring for my children, it’s primarily done at home. And I love doing Daysley work with my children around me.
In Summary...
So, long story short, I will be using AI as a tool for images relating to the Daysley brand. They are still going to be as accurately displaying each product as much as possible. For reference, I have my kids model the dresses and then change the model or make tweaks to the background but not to the dresses themselves. This is primarily used to protect the privacy of my own children and our home.

And just a reminder - anything written is written by me and not by AI. I personally can’t stand when something is written using AI. When I am typing you can be assured it’s me sitting here on the other end of the screen writing to you.
