Why did I create Daysley? Meet the founder: Ashlee

Hi! I'm Ashlee,Mom to 4 (soon to be 5) daughters and one son. I struggled for years to find modest dresses for my daughters, especially dresses that are affordable and come in natural fibers. I decided to add this almost non-existent product to my Daysley Clothing Brand with the hopes of providing such dresses for other mothers who are looking for the same near impossible-to-find item.
I believe in building the virtue of modesty in girls from a young age and making it fun! I also believe that price should not be a barrier for families who also want to pursue the same for their daughters.
Welcome on board!! I am truly so glad to have other women to share this journey with.
Here is the backstory on how this all came to be:I was struggling...As a mom of daughters, I have been struggling for years to find clothes for them that give them the dignity and respect they deserve. I have searched high and low, online and in person, and cannot find modest clothing for little girls! My search started when my first daughter was about two years old. She was transitioning out of baby mode and into a toddler. I wanted her to look like a little girl. I was able to find sweet little dresses. They went above her knee, whatever. She was just two years old. I wasn’t too concerned about that at that point. Anyway, fast forward year after year and she was really getting to be a ‘big girl.’ I wanted her to be in the practice of dressing modestly. For our family that means lengths that covered her knees. Well, I couldn’t find it. It practically didn’t exist. Some brands would sporadically come out with a modest girl dress here and there but it wasn’t consistent and reliable when I needed it. Some of the very few I did find were 100% plastic, whose negative health affects I have been increasingly wary of as time has gone on. I tried sewing my own clothes for her but after having 5 babies in 7 years that was very quickly becoming too much to keep up with. After years of frustration, I decided to solve the problem at scale.
I knew there had to be other women searching for the same thing and encountering the same problem. “Where do you find modest dresses for your girls?” was a frequent conversation among my friends. The answer was never entirely satisfactory. Some women would be blessed with a relative who loved to sew and gift custom made dresses, some would find a few rare gems at a thrift store, some would avail of the other brands when they would come out with girl dresses at random. There was no clear solution to this problem. That is where I had enough and decided to create a reliable, consistent solution for mothers who want to dress their daughters in cute, modest, natural fiber dresses.
